Wood Clay Paint

This blog is intended to record the various stages in the artistic process of several projects. I work mainly in two areas: painting and sculpture. In this blog entitled "Wood Clay Paint", I will be working out different ideas and sharing images of the process as each project progresses.

About Me

My photo
Justine Lucas-McKague
I was born and raised in San Francisco. My parents always encouraged my creative interests and exposed me to the arts at a young age. I am currently pursuing a BA in Fine Arts at SF State, with a dual emphasis in Sculpture and Painting, and a minor in World Music and Dance. My main focus outside of school is music. I play fiddle, mandolin, and guitar in an Eastern European Surf band and in a folk and old-timey music trio, both under the name "The Jaunting Martyrs". We are currently experimenting with combining the instrumental elements of electric gypsy surf music with the lyrical elements of folk music and our experience in circus music, to try to create a sound that encompasses all of our interests. It's hard. We sort of have music ADD and just play whatever we're into at that particular moment.
